Carvin Haggins is a multi-platinum, two times Grammy Award-winning songwriter and producer from Philadelphia, PA. He has been nominated for 21 Grammy awards and is known in the entertainment industry for producing timeless music. He is the recipient of 10 ASCAP writer awards, which is a testament to the quality of his lyrical content. Over the years, he has built a legacy through exemplary development of music for top R&B and Hip-Hop artists. Additionally, he is a trailblazer in working with local talents and bringing their artistry to the forefront. His work in this sector of music enabled him to carve a niche in the market as he wrote and produced music for new artists. During the formative years of his career, Haggins worked for Up & Up Productions, owned by Harold Russell, where he produced commercials for local radio stations. Also, he worked at DJ Jazzy Jeff’s, “A Touch of Jazz” studio with Keith Pelzer, Andre’ Harris, Vidal Davis Ivan Barias and Darren Henson. These were all musicians who influenced him to embark on creative independence. Mr. Haggins joined with Ivan Barias and formed a duo known as Carvin & Ivan, and this group has been recognized for writing and producing songs that topped the musical charts.

The love for music started as a child and will always be a gift that Mr. Haggins shares with the world. Composing and telling stories through music came from his appreciation of great songs from legendary artist such as Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, Barry Gordy, Quincy Jones, Lionel Richie, Burt Bacharach, KRS1, Chuck D, Michael Jackson, James Brown, Prince, and Ike Turner. Creating and developing is second nature to Mr. Haggins. He is as much an entrepreneur as he is a songwriter and producer. In 2000, Mr. Haggins was inspired to form his own production company, which he established with friend and co-founder Ivan Barias. The production company was named Karma Productions. The duo utilized their platform to write and produce songs for many artists by incorporating the “Philadelphia Sound” that was created by legendary producers Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff. Combining modern soul and hip-hop influences became Karma Productions signature sound. Mr. Haggins and his then business partner, Ivan Barias are considered musical masters as they have written, collaborated and/or produced songs for Mary J. Blige, Will Smith, Chrisette Michelle, Ledisi, Lala Hathaway, Jazmine Sullivan, Jill Scott, Musiq Soulchild, Justin Timberlake, Mario, Chris Brown, Raheem DeVaughn, Keyshia Cole, Jaheim, Estelle, Floetry, Skillz, Faith Evans, Rick Ross and many others. 

Not only is Mr. Haggins an astute entrepreneur, but he is also an expert in bringing artists together to make relevant and long-lasting music. Some of the well-known Billboard hits include: “Love” (Musiq Soulchild), “Customer” (Raheem DeVaughn), “If You Leave” (Mary J. Blige and Musiq Soulchild), “Finding My Way Back” (Jaheim), and “She” (Stokley Williams), just to name a few. Mr. Haggins is known by those he worked with as one who has a natural ability to express stories in a melodic and sensational manner.

Mr. Haggins has an innate desire to build businesses that have a purpose, inspire people, and serve a greater good in the community. He is a Radio Show Host, Creator of Ethical Music Entertainment, and Founder of “Rage Against the Ratchet” campaign. In 2019, Mr. Haggins formed three investment companies with his partners, David White and David Wallace. The companies are Advance Global Solutions, The Haggins Group and THG Real Estate Group B.V. They were established to provide full management services that specialize in investments and development for the real estate, energy, and entertainment sectors. Now that Mr. Haggins has excelled in the entertainment industry, he is eager to help build Advance Global Solutions into a premier investment management firm.
